Hi Guys.

I came across this blacking bottle and realised it had a mark for Shipley pottery, between Heanor and Ilkeston, which must date before 1845 as Bourne bought the business then.
Has anyone else seen this before? Would be good to see another as mine is a little faint in parts.

Covered in Derek Askeys Stoneware Bottles book - he held these early, scarce items in high reverence, rightly so.
