I have in the past admitted to being a Dinosaur, with my steam powered Nokia (it functions as a phone only):D. I now steer clear of Ebay, I joined face book and ended up totally confused, the internet has become a dealers trawling ground, and I avoid auctions like the plague, I mean why compete against a world of invisible bidders:crazy:!So as a respite from a looong Christmas, and new year, with a house full of grand children and Great grand children, today I went out on the mooch, a solitary soldier armed with a tankful of diesel and determination and it was like balm to the soul. Today to hell with my carbon footprint ( I still am not sure what that is) I am slaking my passion the old fashioned way search and find, with a few bob in my pocket, and like the Whitstable Codd the world is my oyster:cool:!First off two nice local beers a one imperial pint and a half pint, from Monmouth and Cardiff.

The imperial pint is quite early with a nice belt buckle design, Thomas Hyam Monmouth, dating to c1880.

the half imperial pint is the Taff vale bottling Cardiff with shamrock logo.

Now for the FIND!! this amazing condition double sided glass hanging reflective sign, each side displaying different colours, it is meant to dance in the breeze, changing colour from every angle. I would date it to c1920,s I have seen one before but faded and cracked, happy days:w00t:!

Here are a few more additions to my local meanderings, today. The "stick stopper" Is a nice early Thomas Elliot Cardiff, a bit patchy but nothing serious, come on Poachy get that tumbler tumbling.
The Basker Codd, Plymouth, Bridgewater, and CARDIFF, is a gem. must have been first out of the mould, stunning!
The round based Hamilton is unusual in its lined design a nice item but not local:(, a trophy cup as a trade mark.
