There is a court case at Merthyr reported in the Cardiff times July 1875 titled "The great Pop case" which was Lewis V Jones.Our Mr.Lewis done a tour of the Inns of Merthyr singling out his bottles which were over labeled by Mr. Jones, there is a good article on this, he proceeded with the court action which he won.
J. Lewis also patented his own bottle it looked very similar to the early Barrett and Adams patent, he may have been using the "Improved Hamilton" prior to this.
