Once again Mark (Poacher) comes up trumps with the restoration of one of my purchases which I'm really pleased with. He's something of a wizard with this stuff.

Thank you Derek:cool:. That was not an easy one to recover as the staining was deep and got into the cracks, so a soak in cleaning agents had to be first. Opening up the cracks was necessary not least to secure them, but for the cleaning agent to go that bit deeper. Then comes the water purging, which takes a lot of time. Filling and painting is the easier work, but it was quite a handful in total. A new spray gun helped things along.:)

With the few options available, its now back to a displayable item.

Yup Andrew, a cracking job... My thoughts exactly. Now it's taken it's place with all the other blue and white stuff that my missus loves in a display cabinet.

Yeah, I should continue it Andrew as I have plenty here to do. I have a few cream pots on the go at the moment, but have not got permission to show yet. I could put some of my own repairs in it.

I did a cracker for Manse77 recently, so what does Rhidian say? :satisfied:

I love a happy ending and it means more to me that you're pleased, than anything else.

Iscadigga is also getting his own personal 'Mission Impossible' back soon and has been here long enough now. That was a challenge, I can tell you! :w00t:

Manse77/Rhidian has given me the OK to show his recent repair job and its turned out to be better than I expected. I didn't think a light violet/blue would come out all that good, but Its been good weather for painting.

a great repair, absolutely breath taking. It's far better to see the bottle in that condition than being thrown back in the hole (like we did, not that long ago) and lost forever! Well done.
