Well, after all the photos on my threads have been ruined by Photobucket I will now try to build up others, but definitely not using free image providers. Just wish I had used computer thumbnails from the word go. Lesson learnt. So, here are my London area GB's, a couple of samples, & a match holder. Some are common, some are rare. Unfortunately limitations on space & cash means that I limit myself to the pictorials, coloured tops, or the more unusual types. A few notes :

The print on the all-white Victoria Wine is actually a sepia colour. A misfired or poorly stamped black print usually appears as a grey'ish blue colour, so I can't see that being the reason. I realise it's just a fluke, possibly the rubber stamp was padded on to brown ink by mistake ? There is also some black spotting in the print.

Where possible I try to track down the matching stoppers, several amongst this lot are actually rarer than the bottles !

There is a half Northerner amongst them (like me), but they had a depot in London so it's allowed !

Wanted --- any unusual items from Kent & the South East, including advertising, early stoneware, & bottles (of course!).  Also rare patent poisons, early pontilled medicines, & rare burst lip/teakettle inks.

A very attractive line up John and decent pictures too. Look after the images butty; print them out on glossy paper and keep a hard file of them all. ;) I'm sorry you lost your pictures, but that's the power of American vulture capitalism.:(

Excellent images there bro, quality bottles indeed.

I have all my bottle and postcard images on a 29 gig memory stick which gives me loads of space and was well worth the twenty odd quid outlay, save the image remove the stick, want to upload an image, stick in and copy, no problems, did this after my previous computer got infected and crashed, I lost all images that I had foolishly saved in the hard drive.http://www.bottledigging.org.uk/forum/Skins/Classic/Images/EmotIcons/w00t.gifhttp://www.bottledigging.org.uk/forum/Skins/Classic/Images/EmotIcons/w00t.gifhttp://www.bottledigging.org.uk/forum/Skins/Classic/Images/EmotIcons/w00t.gif.

Phenomenal pictures, thanks for posting,

crazy how the woolfreys went from one of the worst quality gbs to one of the best, and I love both,

I always use my own hard storage like memory cards, 32gb for 11.99 at argos,
I would heavily advise buying them from a reputable seller only, argos I get mine, and have no problems, if you buy cheaper ones from eBay or cheap shops who have probably got them from eBay, they are fakes, and one day out of the blue they will just fail, and you will lose whatever is on them, I know from experience,

click a link below please, shows offenders images, see if you can spot anyone who may have tried to reinvent themself as someone else near you, putting those around you in danger as long as they are unknown, could be closer to you than you think, these type of people dont disclose, they do whatever they can to hide their past, but they are still the same, you could change someones life.

I wondered whether the "S" might stand for the proprietor's surname, but it's definitely not that:

Founded in 1865 by William Winch Hughes who owned it until his death in 1886. Taken over by his widow, who in 1905 sold it to its manager, Frank Wood. Acquired by Charles Edward Cottier in 1924, who floated it as a PLC. Brewer Taylor, Walker & Co. became the majority shareholder in 1929, and itself was taken over by Ind Coope in 1938, and later merged into Allied Breweries in 1961. No sign of an "S" in that ownership chain.
