Some weeks back I trawled what I assumed was a beer of the forshore, anyway I got round to cleaning my backlog of finds and noticed some distinct differences in the bottle i.e. taller and slimmer. It being from Falkirk thought I would investigate further, it looks like my beer is a Whisky bottle! It is nicely embossed with a Mythical creature holding a shield with a pennant flying and a scrolled motto beneath, the company is JAs, Haddow & Co. Falkirk.

James Haddow & Co. Melville St. Falkirk, grocers and wine merchants, they marketed their own blend of liquoer Whisky named Ecclesbreach, that is all the Info. I can find, can anyone add to it?

For comparison with an imperial pint beer.

I wonder if the other, so called 'beers' like that on eBay are actually whiskeys? There are a few listed in the past weeks, but not the one you found;)

Hi, My name is Michelle Haddow Rule, and James Haddow was my grandfathers cousin. So interested to see the bottles you have.
I have a few of the beer ones, but none of them have the picture on line yours.
Very interesting!
