Picked up this postcard yesterday, I would assume it was the delivery section of the "Welsh hills" works, in the mid.1920,s replacing the old steam traction engine pictured in 1909. Their famed ginger beer sold in the slim champagne bottle was extremely popular, maybe because the they were fined for exceeding the alcohol limit in thier temperance drinks!! The G.B. is the easiest to find I still think its a classic in its design!

Had a Thomas & Evans 6oz Beavis patent at one time.

My mother told me she remembered Thomas and Evans drinks when she was a child (1920s - 30s).

Any of the following split size seltzers wanted. Must be in perfect, original mint condition. Rawlings of Brighton, Schweppes (crown top with coat of arms), Pitt & Norrish of London, Drew of Oswestry, Edisbury of Wrexham, Nicholl of Colchester or what have you? Will pay a good price for the right bottle(s) in the right condition.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. I've never come across any pics like this of companies local to me, I think it may be because they were mostly all smaller concerns. I've not even found any postcards or old photos showing any local mineral water company shop fronts, but I will keep looking!

WANTED - ANY items from the STOKE-ON-TRENT area, including Stoke, Longton, Burslem, Hanley, Fenton, Cobridge, Trentham , Tunstall, Goldenhill, Hartshill, Shelton etc...
