Just got back from the Surrey Club Show at Chessington.
While I sort out all the other photographs I thought I would share this quick post concerning a recently dug blue top cream jug from Wiltshire.
The photographs are courtesy of Lou Squillaci (LOU LONDON DIGIN) who has kindly allowed me to post them on the forum.
The quality is not as great as I would have liked but given they are photographs of Lou’s tablet they have not come out too bad.
Previously unknown, certainly by me, this recently dug cream jug from the Bulford Dairy Co. is probably the best cream by far from Wiltshire.
Not that there is a lot of competition, I only know of two other cylinder types from dairies in Wiltshire, two different sizes from Chippenham and one from Tidworth.
Lou tells me there were fragments of two others found and sadly this example is minus its handle, however, still a very desirable piece local piece.
