First example of one from this farm in Burbage, Leicestershire
Was pleased to get this on ebay last week, I have a few of these now from different farms in Burbage, Sketchley and Earl Shilton, all the others were dug in one go and are a bit sick but this one is nice and shiny.
Burbage House Farm is still there, no pictures though as yet.
Any ideas as to date? it would have had a card style top and is seam through lip, on the base is FGG or something similar (EGC? )

| The base mark may be FGC which is Fosters (or Forsters?) Glass Co. they were one of the main makers of milk bottles for a long while. That style of wide neck (disc top) is called a Graham top or Graham finish and by the looks of the bottle and design I'd say it dates from the mid / late 1920's to the late 30's.
