| Hi, I'm a new collector of stoneware bottles and I'm particularly interested in any associated with the Costin Family of Allonby, Cumbria. If anyone has any for sale, or have seen any, please get in touch. Stephen stephendawe-kuta@hotmail.co.uk

| The ones I've seen are impressed stone porters in large and small size if I remember rightly. There were one or two around a couple of years back, it may be worthwhile contacting the West Cumbria lads they may have an idea where to source one?

| I was told in about 1980 that there were many hundreds or more of these bottles discovered in the loft of the original building in Allonby some time in the 70's.The owner went into the loft to investigate why the ceilings were sagging and it was due to the weight of all the stoneware bottles that were stored up there, so they are all still out there somewhere, I am sure you will find one quite easily.
