No 6 is more than likely to be a Crosby's Balsalmic Elixir medicine. No 13 given the ribs on the sides is possibly a poison

1. Common in both sizes ... Ossett is my local town and collecting theme.

5. Very desireable and hard to find even locally. Comes in two sizes to my knowledge. I have a near complete olive green one too.

6. Crosby's Balsamic Cough Elixir ... a Scarborough firm. Common but very nice!

7. Reasonably common codd, but - as all local codds - increasingly difficult to dig as all the local tips dry up.

9. Nowell Luis Fernandes ... a big business family in Wakefield with their hands in many affairs. Fernandes pub & brewery in Wakefield right now, based in the old brewery maltings down the bottom end of Kirkgate.

10. The Wadsworth bottles are usually older than what we commonly see, c1870's - 1890's.

12. The name on the bottle was Willett - I have a complete emerald green one.

13. Common medicine bottle with 'tablespoons' dosage markings embossed. This looks a little earlier than most.

16. Would have had an internal thread screw stopper.

These finds suggest either a local tip which has been dug or one which has not been seen before. The complete codd (marble stopper) bottle suggests maybe an undug site ...

thank you all for the information. and since posting that i went back to look around a bit of the woodland i havent been around yet, and found a complete Ralph Bell of Wakefield, and a large un-named bottle, photos soon. and heres a teaser for you, a look at where they come fromthis mound is what first made me investigate the woodland. most the rest of the woodland doenst look like this pile but it is scattered with bits of cup, plates, bottles, jars, bricks and metal shoe soles. and im only interested in these finds because they are part of my local history
