| I agree Daz,I use to like him before he started presenting this programme, now he just really winds me up with his inane yammering,I even watch it at times on mute ! They were on "Gabby" this week, and every time Steve Brooker tried to talk about the items he brought along Vaughan just kept heckling him, dont know how he kept his cool. Having said that I would rather have the show with him than not have the show at all.

Thanks Lou. John made this comment on the other forum soon after his return from filming this in July last year : Just got back from a film shoot for 'Mudmen' about 'torpedo' & codd bottles. I was interviewed by Capital DJ Johnny Vaughan in the London Glassblowing Workshop, but turned out to be an absolute bl*ody nightmare, very hot from the furnaces & he was an arrogant hyper-active unfriendly piece of work. Turned up late, kept talking over me when I was trying to explain some history & incorrect terminology behind the bottles, & got me totally flummoxed. After he had gone a couple of the crew on the quiet apologised for his behaviour, but they appeared pleased with the overall shoot. It will probably be heavily edited, which might be just as well ! The glassblowers in the works were brilliant, though, & for the programme Danish artist Marie Harstrup-Holm produced a hamilton bottle & Thames mudlarker Steve Brooker had a go at making one with Anthony Scala who also teaches practical classes. Pity I wasn't filmed with Steve, a really nice genuine bloke & someone who also knew a bit about bottles. This particular episode will be shown on the History Channel sometime next year, but don't hold your breath. I certainly won't !
