AGREE WITH YOU 100% ALAN. GOOD LUCK WITH TOMORROW AND I HOPE YOU HAVE STRENGTH. A CELEBRATION IS FAR BETTER THAN A TOTALLY GRIEF FILLED OCCASION,IF ITS POSSIBLE.

AGREE WITH YOU GAZ 100%, AL YOU,VE BEEN A HERO AND MYSELF AND THE FORUM ARE WITH YOU MATE , IF , AND YOU WILL WELL UP JUST REMEMBER CHLOE,S SMILE

Thanks lads, it means a lot to me. I'm going to find it very hard, especially with all the kids there that went to school with Chloe. Our 3 kids would have known her well, especially Jessica. Chloe was only around our house a few months back. Still, we must remember her for all the good things and as you say her beautiful smile will live on forever! I've heard the church will be filled to capacity ... and no doubt overflowing outside

All the best for tomorrow Alan

Heartbreaking thread Alan, I like many was captivated if thats the correct word by this little girls lovely smile and sad story.

My heart and thoughts go out to all Chloes family, and to all who knew this beautiful child.

Its not my place to say, and possibly not a great time to say it,  but this sad story has endeared a good few of us on this forum, to think about something else, other than ourselves, and come together as one. I find this very moving.

To Chloes family, if you read these posts one day, I hope this gives you a little smile, knowing that even grumpy old blokes have hearts too, and today they are with you all.

We all wish you all the love and kindness in the world.

Sleep tight little Chloe.

(In Memory of Chloe)

Many thanks for all your comments and posts - Chloe's funeral was very difficult to be honest, but in an odd sort of way uplifting! - I know you'll think me completely mad, but I came away knowing that Chloe was in a far better place and the way that Chloe's grandad tried to explain how they are all coping with the grief, it seemed to make perfect sense! - As you can imagine there were loads of kids present and they showed a very moving DVD of Chloe's life and all her favourite things (they even read out a passage from Chloe's favourite book 'Mr Stink' by David Walliams, where a whiffy tramp was befriended by a girl also called Chloe!) - Chloe's cousins from Ireland sang a very moving song all about Chloe's life and even Chloe's mum stood up and thanked everyone for making the journey there (some travelled from as far as South africa and the USA!) - But the one overriding aspect for me was when her grandfather explained to everyone that Chloe was just wearing an 'earth-suit' and that her spirit will always live on in heaven and on earth. He said that the body in the coffin will be buried and rot away but her spirit will live on forever. Heavy stuff, but incredibly inspirational!

Thanks once again to everyone who has put so much (or little) into this. It has all been appreciated by Chloe's family who asked me to say a big thankyou!!

Let's remember her smile and laughter!
