Mr Digger1 (11/10/2011)
very nice is it a flatbased.

No idea, but looking at the photo it doesn't appear to be. I wonder if the owner is on here?

That's a real nice narrow neck and i know a Swansea collector who has one

They are a round base narrow neck with a decent Leek pictorial; all are 10ozs as far as i know

That's a very nice Betts narrow neck Mr Digger; they are scarce but there are more of them around than the Morgans narrow neck. A collector mate of mine pulled one out of the canal weeds, right in front of me...the *astard!

There is also the Swansea Aereated Water Co narrow neck with 'Invicta' trade mark (Pictorial rearing horse). that has a round base too

if i was to have a choice i would have the flatbase betts any day due to the look of the bottle but we all have different taste  the betts i have does have a green marble.

Always looking for early narrow necks for my collection, will pay good prices for good examples.

Yes, I see in your picture the Betts seems to have a different shade of green marble; having dug the main Swansea tips for many years, and knowing many of the diggers, I'm not aware that a green marble is agreed on as a standard usage by Betts and may be a glass blower using up a batch of glass meant for some other bottle. Over the years i've seen about a dozen (whole) Betts narrow necks, but all have std aqua marble to my knowledge.

Either way, its a damn good find

A green Barret and Elers sounds really special, I've never heard of one in that colour from anywhere. I look forward to those pics.
